Honeywell International cut its fourth-quarter profit forecast and said it would brace for “recessionary conditions” in the United States and Europe next year. Third-quarter profit increased to $719 million, or 97 cents a share, from $618 million, or 81 cents a share, a year earlier. That topped the average Wall Street estimate by 2 cents, according to Reuters Estimates. Revenue rose 6.2 percent, to $9.28 billion. Honeywell now expects to earn 97 cents to $1.01 a share on revenue of $9.4 billion in the fourth quarter. Analysts, on average, had looked for profit of $1.04 a share on sales of $9.8 billion.
