Increasingly, images of the dead are finding their way into print and onto television; reflexes that made graphic death a rarity in newspapers in generation after Vietnam War are being supplanted by willingness to use such images for their emotional impact; the larger the point to be made, the more willing editors have been to use visual horror to make that point; photos (M)

Argentines are treated to barrage of recent news coverage about suspicious deaths; deaths may simply be series of macabre concidences, but news reports have spawned vague suggestions lately that organized crime or Government of Pres Carlos Saul Menem itself is involved and blocking cause of justice; recent deaths of former presidential aide's brother and navy captain were officially attributed to suicide; list of other dead include general and another army officer who were killed in helicopter crash, two other Government and military employees who died in reported criminal assaults, and several more people who reportedly succumbed to heart attacks and brain seizures; even Pres Menem has called for reopening of probe into death of his son, thought to have been killed in helicopter accident three years ago; Menem's former wife has long expressed skepticism that crash was accident; photo (M)

INTERNATIONAL A3-19 U.S. Moves to Ward Off Financial Crisis in Brazil The United States is preparing to commit American funds as part of a $30 billion program to try to insulate Brazil and the rest of Latin America from the worst effects of world financial turmoil, according to officials assembling the program. Several Congressional leaders have been alerted to the likelihood that the Administration will have to act while Congress is in recess. 1 Anger at the Wye River Talks During the Thursday to Friday all-night stand at the Wye River Middle East conference before the accord was clinched, or almost clinched, President Clinton became so angry with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's treatment of Yasir Arafat, the Palestinian leader, that Mr. Clinton slammed down his papers and angrily walked off exclaiming, ''This is despicable.'' 1
