French Francs Decline to Rec- ord Low -- Sympathetic Heavi- ness in the Continentals.
Date: 20 December 1923
The decline of French francs to 5.16 cents, a record low for all time, was the outstanding feature of yesterday's market. Starting here at 5.21 3/4 cents, an overnight decline of 2 3/4 points, heavy local selling later brought about a further drop to the new low at 5.16, which displaces the previous record of 5.19 1/3 cents, touched on Nov. 19.
